There is nothing so special as home
Today was a special day. We had family over, and that in and of itself made the day worthwhile. There was wind in the air and our bellies were full from a meal made with love, so we ventured out at our favorite park just down the road.
Where we live has come to grow on us. It’s not so much a home or a location, as a lifestyle. I’ve found myself here. Not in song, or in activity, not in the things that helped define who I have been, but the person who is full of love for her children and her family and her home.
Am I perfect? Far from. That much is obvious to most and surely all by count of the fall. I’m simply saying that I’ve found who I am in this beautiful city I love.
My family explores, we attend church, we have friends we get to together with, we have wonderful jobs that work so well for our lifestyles and we have activities that keep us occupied and outdoors and loving exactly where God placed us.
I could say I did it. Or we did it. Or that I chose our town because of obvious reasons to some. But the truth is God chose it. He blessed us. We have a home here that isn’t a building or a structure. It’s a heart. It’s a family. It’s faith. It’s loved ones. We are together. We are embraced. We are held. We are enjoying the very best of our lives.
Do I still have dreams? Absolutely! But if you asked me what they are, they are no longer absolute, or concrete. I am peaceful. So peaceful in fact that I have absolute trust in where we are at. I love you, Lord. Only you can do great things. Thank you so much for providing our family with the safety and love and adventure you provide. Thank you for watching out for our needs. And thank you most for giving us your incredible peace…
It comes with trust. Trusting in you, Jesus.
Thankful Daisy 💜🦋🌸
