Happy Saturday!! ☺️

Hi There! Good Morning!!

Happy Saturday to y’all and hope you are doing so well. It’s a new Daisy and I am in love with this fall air and breezy Saturday happiness. Bliss.

Here is a picture of our sweet and lovely garden friends who don’t have their own names, but collectively are beautiful and lovely and wonderful, all the same.

We have chocolate mint in the left corner, rosemary in the center, oregano on the right, mums right below, followed by three other lovely purple and pink flowers in front.

I was going to share with you a fun little story. I have a sweet plant named Vienna. She is a basil 🌿 lovely plant friend, and was gifted to me as a wee baby girl from my sister’s sister in law who is just the sweetest. She makes the most amazing basil pesto, y’all. I ate it for breakfast. I ate it for lunch. I ate it in place of ice cream. Y’all. It’s delicious!

So Vienna is my basil 🌿 friend and she is a sweet girl. She’s strong, too! She produces so much basil and I was so excited, I invited my new friend Faith over to come and make some pesto with me!! My sister and I recently made some and it was amazing. We added it to tortellini pasta, and Alfredo sauce, and pizza… I could go on and on.

So Faith and I were going to make some amazing pesto together and here is a photo I must share with y’all because it’s ridiculous.

It’s awful y’all… and good, I suppose. Because had I not seen it we would have made a terrible mistake. Nobody needs to get a yucky kind of sad illness from pesto.

And here’s the reason. If you look below, my sweet, adorable, amazing kitty cat, Cuddles, is attempting to protect our sweet garden friends, especially Vienna, from this crazy monstrous inappropriately positioned and might I say tress-passing squirrel….

Can you believe this?!!!!!! Ugh. Ah!! No!!!!

To which I say, hi Cuddles!! :) and she turns and looks at me and said annoying squirrel (who shall rename nameless and not a welcome friend to our lovely garden!!) runs away into my sweet Vienna’s home.

Stop! Just stop. Please. We were gonna make pesto!!!

It was a sad day for sure. Faith did not come over. We had to go out and have some ciders later that week to commemorate the loss of our pesto. Yay for ciders to help cheer us out of our loss.

On a positive note, Vienna is healthy, alive and overall thriving. :) I still prune and water and care for her as you know, she is our very dear friend and sweet and lovely basil 🌿  plant. So special, and just not yet sure what to do about our bed of garlic and basil visited by one very unfortunate squirrel.

So there’s my story. It’s a beautiful Daisy and I hope you really, truly make the most of it y’all. You deserve it. Rest up, read a good book (Lauraine Snelling, Tessa Afshar, to name two!!) and take it easy.

You are so beautiful and SO very loved. Shout out to my sweet and wonderful friend JJ Heller who just release her brand new album I Dream of You: JOY available on all platforms. Listen here:

Stay thankful!

Much love and hugs and warmth and beauty and joy your way,
