Thankful for Home
Hi There,
Gosh, am I thankful for home, y’all. It’s so comforting to be here and just know I am known and loved.
My babies encourage me every day. They learn and grow so much faster and stronger than I ever imagined possible. For being just four and one, they know seems like everything and more about life, faith, and love.
What else do you possibly need to succeed in life? Nothing more than a good belief that you can do it, if you try, and failing is okay, too. We all learn and fail each and every day.
I had a moment this past week that felt like a fail, for me. We were celebrating a birthday and had a family full of colds. We chose to forgo the getting together part of the celebration and just focus on our family and loving each other well. Why did this feel like a fail? Well, we so dearly wanted to all get together and I let my family down on one side, by not all being present.
Sometimes we have to make the hard choices in life, and we never will know if they are right or wrong.. I do know that even though things looked different, we had the most wonderfully fun and relaxing birthday celebration. I’m so glad we all made the most of it and enjoyed the moment fully.
On another note, I wanted to share about this really beautiful story from my son’s homeschool program. It shares about Gideon, and how he was afraid but called him to be brave. My son and I really enjoyed reading about that. We read two connecting stories that included angels appearing, and even though the angels looked different in each story, the beautiful thing is, they were both called by God. It even says this, “Gideon felt afraid, but the Lord said to him, “Peace be unto you, Gideon. Do not be afraid, for I will be with you.”
What strikes me about this, and maybe you feel it too, is how the Lord is with him. He’s with Gideon. He’s with the boy having a sweet sleep, he’s with the momma feeling frantic throughout the day, he’s with us all… present through each and every moment he brings.
I love the idea, that Jesus is with us all. All at the same time. All in our unique moments of discovering life, and love, and bravery throughout the fearful moments life brings our way.
Each day we can decide to be brave. Here’s my bravery story for you:
My son and daughter and I each do school together each day! We take time off here and there to rest, but most days we enjoy having our breakfast and doing our school together. I love learning with them and watching them grow. I love admitting to them that I don’t have the answers, but God does. That Jesus is with us, his dearly loved children (that’s you and me and your neighbor and your mom and your friend and your not so much friend) and he loves us all more than we could ever imagine.
We use Sonlight and I first experience the wonderful program as a 1st grader, just 5 years old. It’s full circle now with our son taking his place rightfully learning and growing, and I could not be more happy or proud.
I told him this morning, you bring me joy.
You make me happy. Just the way you are.
You bring my joy.
These are the exact same feelings God has for you.
You bring me joy. I love you and know you and claim you, for who you are, just the way you are, right now. Every day and in this dear moment. You are my child. Dearly loved forever.

Oh and y’all, this is also what it looks like to be home. Just keeping it real. :) all day long. It’s like a mini I spy game/book… but this is what our home looks like. And I love it. So very much. I am also constantly picking it up though, so there’s that. :) okay.
Have a beautiful day,
You are always loved,
Thankful Daisy 💜🌸🦋
