Hey Y’all!

Hey There,

I hope your day is going well and you are feeling beautiful, safe, and loved. You matter and you make a difference just by being you!

My daughter and I just got back from a quick coffee trip where the barista recommended I try the Frenzied Idiot. Hmmm. After pursuing my other options, I decided that yes indeed, this was the drink for me. It’s funny they took so long to share this beautiful concoction. Meant to be.

Lol. In all seriousness, I’m just happy when I can get out for a few minutes and enjoy a breather. :) but honestly, y’all, there is nothing like just being home. With my littles. With my husband. With my home.

Home. When I was little I constantly dreamed of home. It’s here now and I am thoroughly enjoying each second. Sometimes it’s messy (most of the time ha ๐Ÿ˜Š) and other times it’s just quiet and okay. There are some really special times in between, and those are all part of the story.

Me, I’m a fan of the meh days. The times when I can just be me, just unwind, have a little coffee, play a little animal crossing, read some books and enjoy being in our home.

My mom reminded me this morning, we chat in the car as I drive home from work, that I have long since dreamed of this life I am finally in… now it’s time to enjoy it. Fully. Embrace this chapter and let the rest go.

I’m ready for my children’s dreams. I’m ready for cheering them on throughout their lives. I’m ready for mundane and ordinary (check out JJ Heller, ordinary days here: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=5AFHZDdTw24 ) and just being okay with where we’re at today.

It’s taken a longggggg time getting here. If you’re all familiar with 15 going on 16/I’ll take care of you, from the sound of music, then you know that we are ALL familiar with this feeling. Heck, I was 3 or 4 when I was day dreaming of my own grown home.

My favorite memory is a tie between being with my momma in the living room, dancing and singing as she played the song If I Were A Butterfly/Making Me, Me. I was wearing a green and white velvet Christmas or Easter dress and white sandals and I think I had a bow in my hair… there’s a picture somewhere, but the one in my memory is just my momma playing the piano and singing for me while I danced happily in front of our bay window.

If you count that one, best memory ever. :) However, my real favorite memory is washing dishes in my momma’s kitchen sink. Ha. It’s true. :) I really loved just being in her kitchen and washing plastics in the water. My momma was the best y’all. And she still is. ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’™☺️

Well, it’s a happy Friday day, and I’m gonna leave it on this sweet moment before saying adieu.

Love and Hugs,

Stay Thankful

Daisy
